equineline.com Database Enhanced with Australian Information

In a major step toward enhancing international racing and breeding information available through the new equine management service, equineline.com, The Jockey Club Information Systems, Inc. (TJCIS) today announced the integration of Australian pedigree and performance information into its global database.

TJCIS president, Carl Hamilton, said the trans-hemispheric data provides customers with more comprehensive catalogue style pedigrees and race records, as well as a more accurate account of the racing performance of the progeny of shuttle stallions.

“Australia is the world’s second largest producer of registered Thoroughbred foals and its emergence as a primary destination for Northern Hemisphere stallions is further evidence of our industry’s evolvement into a truly global marketplace,” he said. “Bridging this important Thoroughbred information gap also allows us to provide a more complete assessment of the progeny of shuttle stallions to Australia for our equineline.com and Equine Line 2000 customers looking for that extra edge when making important breeding- and sales-related decisions.”

In addition to Australia, the equineline.com international database includes detailed pedigree and racing information from North America, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan and the United Arab Emirates.

equineline.com is an innovative new Internet service that lets owners and breeders manage their equine investments more effectively. The system centralizes many of the services provided by The Jockey Club family of companies, with access to Equine LineŽ 2000 and the Registry’s Jockey Club InteractiveTM simplified by the use of a universal ID number.

Subscribers can also create a portfolio of horses and have that portfolio updated in real-time with information from a variety of sources. The service also features an Interactive Condition Book which lets users search for specific race conditions at tracks throughout the country; and a secure messaging system designed to facilitate communication among owners, breeders, trainers and farm personnel.

A free virtual tour is available at http://www.equineline.com. Additional information can be obtained by calling TJCIS at (800) 333-1778 or by sending e-mail to equineline@jockeyclub.com.
