The Jockey Club Tour on FOX Sports 1 Heads North for $1,000,000 Ricoh Woodbine Mile

The Jockey Club Tour on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) returns to Woodbine Race Course in Toronto Sunday, September 13, with live coverage of the 19th running of the $1,000,000 Ricoh Woodbine Mile for 3-year-olds and up.

The telecast on FS1 and FOX Sports GO (Digital) will air from 4:30 - 6 p.m. EDT.

The 1-mile event is contested on the E.P. Taylor Turf Course. The stakes record time for the race is 1:31.75, set in 2013 by recently retired two-time Horse of the Year Wise Dan.

The show will include features on Woodbine’s new track announcer, Robert Geller, as well as a historical portrait of the track that will include footage of Secretariat, Northern Dancer, and the 1996 Breeders’ Cup Championship Day.

The telecast will also include a “Stars of Tomorrow” segment with 18-year-old jockey Aimee Augur and a highlight package of video clips from previous events in The Jockey Club Tour on FOX Sports 1 during 2015.

“Over the course of the past two decades, the Ricoh Woodbine Mile has attracted many of the top international turf stars in our sport,” said Jason Wilson, president, TJC Media Ventures. “It has also become a key steppingstone to the Breeders’ Cup Championship Day six weeks later.”

The on-air duties will once again be handled by Greg Wolf, Richard Migliore, Andy Serling, and Alyssa Ali.
