Equibase Company LLC, the Thoroughbred industry’s Official database for racing information, has expanded the menu of racing and handicapping information available on its website, http://www.equibase.com, to include Spanish-language race programs and downloadable race result charts for all North American racetracks.

“Offering an online Spanish race program addresses the information needs of a significant segment of racing’s customer base,” said Equibase’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, Hank Zeitlin. “By not only customizing the presentation of handicapping information to suit the needs of racing’s Spanish-speaking fans, but by also having the registration and shopping experiences presented in Spanish, Spanish-speaking fans will certainly have an easier time handicapping the races.”

The online Spanish race program was developed in conjunction with InCompass, the racing office and horsemen’s bookkeeper vendor to the vast majority of tracks in North America.

As a service to their Spanish-speaking fans, tracks can provide a direct link to the Spanish race programs on equibase.com to streamline their customers’ acquisition of official past performances in their native language.

In addition to Spanish race programs, equibase.com now offers downloadable race result charts (in both a comma-delimited and an XML format). The downloadable charts include all information contained in the official Equibase^® result chart as well as a number of new features including track variants, expanded running line comments, Equibase Speed Figures for every runner, Class Ratings and Pace Figures for the leader.

“This new service enables handicappers to download expanded result chart information for their own personal use while providing adequate safeguards against the unlicensed commercial use of our proprietary information,” said Zeitlin.

Downloadable result charts are available for the previous 45 days for all tracks in North America for $1.50 per card or via subscription for $149.95 per month.
