Equibase Launches Today's Racing App for iPhone and Android Users

Equibase Company has expanded Thoroughbred racing’s footprint in the mobile applications market with the launch of the Today’s Racing™ app, it was announced today by Equibase Company President and COO Hank Zeitlin.

The Today’s Racing app, which can be downloaded free at itunes.com and the Android Marketplace, features current- and next-day entries as well as current- and previous-day results. Entries include links to handicapping products, scratches and program changes; results include links to result charts and race replays. A schedule of every track’s opening and closing dates is also provided.

“The app expands Thoroughbred racing’s presence among the vast audience of consumers who download apps from their phones and makes it easy for these consumers to follow and participate in the sport by presenting a rolling two days of entries, results and related information for every track in North America,” said Zeitlin.

The Today’s Racing app was developed by The Jockey Club Technology Services Inc., which also developed the Equibase Racing Yearbook™ app and Equibase’s mobile website, which was optimized for smartphone use.

Equibase Company is a partnership between subsidiaries of The Jockey Club and the Thoroughbred Racing Associations of North America and serves as the Thoroughbred industry’s official database. Through its website, mobile platform and mobile applications, Equibase offers a comprehensive menu of wagering products, statistical information and video race replays in support of the North American Thoroughbred racing industry.
