The Jockey Club to Provide Live Webcast
of Sunday's 60th Annual Round Table Conference

The Jockey Club will provide a live webcast of its 60th Annual Round Table Conference on Matters Pertaining to Racing on Sunday, August 12. The two-hour conference at the Gideon Putnam Resort in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., will be streamed at jockeyclub.com beginning at 10 a.m. EDT.

The major focus of the conference will be medication and performance-enhancing drugs. The keynote speaker will be Travis T. Tygart, chief executive officer of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), who will share insights on preserving the integrity of competition.

Stuart S. Janney III, the vice chairman of The Jockey Club and chairman of its Thoroughbred Safety Committee, and Matt Iuliano, the executive vice president and executive director of The Jockey Club, will deliver a presentation focusing on The Jockey Club’s initiatives to promote clean and safe horse racing.

Jason Wilson, vice president of business development for The Jockey Club, and Michael Lamb, a partner in McKinsey & Company’s Media and Entertainment Group, will update the audience on fan-development programs recommended by McKinsey at the 2011 Round Table Conference.

A replay of the webcast is expected to be available within one hour of the conclusion of the conference, and an official transcript of the proceedings is scheduled to be available on The Jockey Club website Monday afternoon.

The Jockey Club Round Table Conference was first held on July 1, 1953, in The Jockey Club office in New York City. The following year, it was moved to Saratoga Springs, N.Y., where it has been held every August since.
