2024 T.I.P. Championships Open for Entries | |
The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) today announced that entries for all divisions of the 2024 T.I.P. Championships are now open. Additionally, there is an online declaration form that can be used to declare all horses for T.I.P. Championships. Please note that this form must be used for horses that are automatically qualified or horses that require a Hardship Request to qualify. More information about qualifying can be found below. 2024 T.I.P. Championships Open for Entries T.I.P. Championships in hunter (crossrails to 3'0"), jumper (2'6" to 3'6"), English pleasure, combined test (starter to preliminary), dressage (introductory to FEI TOC), Western dressage (TOC), Western pleasure, ranch riding, competitive trail, and in-hand will occur at Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina. The show will commence the evening of Thursday, October 3, and will continue through Sunday, October 6. Important deadlines are as follows:
Qualifying for the Championships To automatically qualify for the T.I.P. Championships, a T.I.P. eligible Thoroughbred must (1) participate in a show offering T.I.P. high point awards, classes or divisions beginning August 1, 2023, through September 15, 2024 (this includes the 2023 T.I.P. Championships and for competitive trail qualification, any Equine Trail Sports competition); or (2) participate in a Take2 division beginning August 1, 2023, through September 15, 2024; or (3) be entered in the 2024 Thoroughbred Makeover or have participated in the 2023 Makeover in the applicable discipline; or (4) have participated in the 2023 T.I.P. Performance Awards in the applicable discipline. After qualifying is completed, the qualification must be DECLARED on a Declaration Form. Horses being shown during the championship year but not able to qualify automatically can request qualification for championships via a Hardship Request.
