2026 T.I.P. Championship Winners Announced

The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) Championships was held at Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina, from October 1-4. The show saw participation from 300 entries.

Cash prizes of $2,000 per division were awarded to the 42 divisions offered, which included hunters, jumpers, English pleasure, dressage, combined test, Western pleasure, ranch riding, competitive trail, and in-hand competition.

This year also saw the addition of a new Thoroughbred Premier Show Series running alongside the championships which featured novice rider and green horse hunter classes, a $5,000 hunter classic, and a $5,000 jumper classic.

“Another successful T.I.P. Championships reminds us just how strong and passionate the Thoroughbred aftercare community is,” said Kristin Werner, coordinator of T.I.P. “We are deeply appreciative of everyone who supports the program, especially Stable View for helping provide a world-class home for this event. The Championships give us an opportunity to highlight the versatility of Thoroughbreds and the people who help them succeed, and we are excited to continue expanding that impact in the future.”

To qualify for the championships, a T.I.P.-eligible Thoroughbred must participate in a show offering T.I.P. high point awards, classes, or divisions in the applicable discipline beginning August 1 of the prior year through September 15 of the championships year or participate in the T.I.P. Performance Awards in the applicable discipline or qualify through a hardship request.

To be eligible for T.I.P. shows, a Thoroughbred is defined as any horse that has been registered with The Jockey Club or a foreign Thoroughbred stud book recognized by The Jockey Club.

Created and announced in October 2011, T.I.P. recognizes and rewards the versatility of the Thoroughbred through sponsorship of Thoroughbred classes and high point awards at sanctioned horse shows, year-end performance awards, a recreational riding program, and non-competition awards. Additional information about T.I.P. is available at tjctip.com and on the T.I.P. Facebook page at facebook.com/tjctip.
