2026 T.I.P. Championships at Stable View to Kick off with Trail, Dressage, Ranch, and Hunter

The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) Championships return Thursday, October 1, welcoming riders from 18 different states. With the addition of a new Thoroughbred Premier Show Series running alongside the championships, Thursday’s schedule will feature novice rider and green horse hunter classes, a $5,000 hunter classic, and a $5,000 jumper classic in addition to championship divisions for ranch riding, dressage, Western dressage, and Western pleasure.

The championships are being held at Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina, and continue through Sunday, October 4. The virtual program supplement and the schedule for the 2026 T.I.P. Championships can be found at tjctip.com/About/CSF.

This year’s event has attracted more than 300 entries, which will be competing in classes covering multiple disciplines. There are 42 divisions spanning hunters, jumpers, English pleasure, dressage, combined test, Western pleasure, ranch riding, and competitive trail. Each division will be awarded $2,000 in prize money with awards up to 10th place. The competition also includes an in-hand championships.

In their first careers, participating horses for the 2026 T.I.P. Championships have raced 3,566 times, winning 402 times and earning a grand total of $11,608,297. The last race start occurred at 49 different tracks. Of the participating horses, 115 were offered at public auction at least once in their lives and 39 were adopted from a Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance accredited aftercare organization. Sixteen Thoroughbreds participated in a previous RRP Thoroughbred Makeover and one is entered in the 2026 Thoroughbred Makeover.

“The T.I.P. Championships continue to demonstrate the remarkable versatility, athleticism, and willingness of Thoroughbreds in second careers. Each year, we are inspired by the dedication of the riders, owners, and trainers who showcase what these horses can achieve beyond the racetrack,” said Kristin Werner, administrator of T.I.P. “The championships provide a unique opportunity to celebrate the breed while bringing together a passionate community that supports the lifelong success of Thoroughbreds, and we’re once again very thankful to Stable View for making this show possible year after year.”
