AQHA Speed Indexes Added to Quarter Horse Past Performances on equibase.com

The American Quarter Horse Association and Equibase Company LLC today announced the incorporation of AQHA speed indexes into past performance race programs for American Quarter Horse races available online at equibase.com.

“The incorporation of AQHA speed indexes into electronic Equibase race programs is consistent with our goal to provide American Quarter Horse racing fans with the most comprehensive information available in electronic formats,” said Zeitlin. “Together with the American Quarter Horse handicapping products available through our TrackMaster subsidiary at trackmaster.com, American Quarter Horse handicappers have convenient access to a wide range of value-added information.”

AQHA executive director of racing, Dan Fick, thanked Equibase for utilizing the Internet in continued support of the world’s largest breed of horse.

“We appreciate Equibase’s ongoing commitment to fulfilling the needs of American Quarter Horse racing fans,” said Fick. “More and more this responsibility involves using the instantaneous communication of the Internet to make the most relevant information available in the timeliest manner.”

The AQHA speed index allows handicappers to evaluate a horse’s speed in a race versus the three fastest winning times for the same distance each year for the previous three years at the same track.
