Equibase Enhances SpeedGraph, ClassGraph with New Information

Expanded statistical analyses, program numbers and morning line odds have been incorporated into the SpeedGraphTM and ClassGraphTM handicapping products available on equibase.com, providing additional information on which horseplayers of every skill level can help base wagering decisions.

“With these enhancements, including winning percentages based on pedigree and jockey-trainer combinations, the SpeedGraph and ClassGraph now provide not only detailed visual analyses of fundamental handicapping elements, but can be used alone or in concert with any traditional past performance product to give handicappers that extra edge before placing a wager,” said Equibase executive vice president, sales and marketing, Hank Zeitlin.

In addition, the SpeedGraphTM now includes Equibase Speed and Pace Ratings made more precise by the use of decimals, and the ClassGraphTM highlights past races run under similar conditions.

“Handicappers know that racing is a game of inches, which is why they want and need the most precise measurements of speed and pace,” added Zeitlin, “These types of enhancements can mean all the difference in separating close contenders when putting together your bets.”

The SpeedGraphTM offers a visual analysis of each runner’s speed and pace ratings across nine different categories, including the average rating for starts at this track and at this distance, so that users can gain a better understanding of each runner’s capabilities.

The ClassGraphTM provides a visual depiction of the speed, pace and class ratings earned by each runner in its previous six races so that users can easily identify trends in a horse’s recent races from one comprehensive graph. Pertinent information such as finish position, race distance and surface type of those six races is also provided.
