equineline.com Unveils Farm Program

equineline.com, the state-of-the-art Internet-based information network for horse industry professionals, now features a Farm Program designed to help farms manage the business side of their operations more efficiently, it was announced today by The Jockey Club Information Systems, Inc. (TJCIS).

Modeled after TJCIS’ popular Windows-based Farm Management software, which is installed as a stand-alone product at more than 200 major farms worldwide, the equineline.com Farm Program is a comprehensive information management and communication tool. According to Gary Falter, director of product development for TJCIS, the new service incorporates many of the stand-alone software’s most useful features as well as the many advantages inherent to Internet-based programs.

“Maintaining a farm’s horse records confidentially on a secure central server creates opportunities to expand the range of performance and function of Farm Management systems,” he said. “These include immediate online verification of horse names, online breeding history for mare information forms, electronic messaging of pertinent information to owners and integration with The Jockey Club’s Interactive Registration system to help eliminate duplicate data entry. The Farm Program is also portable in that farm personnel can view and update their information from anywhere with Internet access.

“Whereas the equineline.com Trainer Program and Portfolio Service are geared specifically for Thoroughbred and American Quarter Horse professionals, the Farm Program is ideal for farms that board horses of any breed which want a management tool that can organize all of the billing, health care, breeding and foaling records upon which successful operation of their business depends.”

For a monthly subscription fee, the equineline.com Farm Program allows farms to:  Maintain health, breeding and foaling records  Calculate board and allocate charges to the appropriate owner(s) for billing and accounts receivable  Communicate with owners electronically  Submit Live Foal/No Foal Reports while simultaneously updating mare foaling records through an interface with Jockey Club InteractiveTM

Additional online modules including a Syndicate program are planned for the future.

Following a one-month free trial period, the monthly subscription fee for the Farm Program is $29.95 for up to 20 horses, and $10 per month for 10 additional horses.

In addition to the Farm Program, Trainer Program and Portfolio Service, equineline.com also provides access to the equineline Reports service where visitors can access a wide assortment of breeding, racing and sales information for both Thoroughbreds and American Quarter Horses.
