Trakus, Equibase Offering Next-Generation
Racing Products Package for Keeneland Meet

Equibase Company LLC, the Thoroughbred industry’s official database for racing information, and Trakus, the digital information company whose automated racehorse tracking system has been deployed at Keeneland and Woodbine, are offering fans and handicappers a rich mix of new and traditional racing and handicapping information in the form of a “Trakus Premium Pack” during the upcoming Keeneland Spring Meet, it was announced today.

The Trakus Premium Pack, available on http://www.equibase.com, includes enhanced video replays featuring the popular animated “chicklet” tiles, race simulations and a wide assortment of automated data charting statistics from Trakus as well as the official race program and ChartPlus™ from Equibase.

“The Trakus technology added a new dimension to the fan experience at Keeneland last fall and our fans — from the newest to the most knowledgeable — were very enthused about the chicklets that were displayed on our live race broadcasts and on our LED tote board,” said Nick Nicholson, president and CEO of Keeneland. “This is exactly the sort of thing that appeals to all of our fans and makes the sport a little less intimidating.”

The Trakus Premium Pack is available for $9.95 per race card or via subscription for $89.95 for the entire 15-day Keeneland Spring Meet, which runs from April 6-27.

“We’ve always believed that the deployment of an automated tracking system could enhance the experience of race fans through the new and interesting data analyses such a system could produce,” said Hank Zeitlin, president and COO of Equibase. “The possibilities and implications for fans of the sport are endless, and we are very interested to see how they respond to the Trakus Premium Pack.”

“Following last year’s successful deployments of the Trakus system at Woodbine and Keeneland, we have been eager to introduce a slate of retail products designed to assist fans with their post-race analyses and, ultimately, heighten their understanding and enjoyment of the sport,” said Bob McCarthy, president and CEO of Trakus. “Keeneland is an ideal race meet to introduce these product offerings, and Equibase has shown considerable support by allowing us to market these products to equibase.com’s vast online audience.”
