Equibase Reports 35.1% Increase in Visitors
to equibase.com on Breeders' Cup Day

Complementing the record on-track and all-sources wagering on Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup card at Churchill Downs, Equibase Company LLC reports that equibase.com, the website for the North American Thoroughbred industry’s official database for racing information, hosted 119,757 unique visitors on Breeders’ Cup Day, an increase of 35.1% against Breeders’ Cup Day in 2005. These visitors logged 1,181,766 page views.

“The sharp increase in traffic on equibase.com on the day of our sport’s championship event reinforces the broad appeal of racing’s premier events and equibase.com’s important role as a central source for accurate and timely racing information for veteran fans and newcomers alike,” said Hank Zeitlin, executive vice president and COO of Equibase.

equibase.com provides a comprehensive array of racing information, including programs, entries and result charts, as well as a full line of products for handicappers of every skill level. The site is also home to Virtual StableTM, which provides e-mail notification of entry, result and workout information for horses that fans want to follow. Virtual Stable also offers seasonal “race series” notifications, a once-daily report of activity for contenders for the Triple Crown races and the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

Equibase Company is a partnership between The Jockey Club and the Thoroughbred Racing Associations of North America.
