Equibase Announces Addition of Horsemen's Area to equibase.com

Equibase Company LLC, the Thoroughbred industry’s official database for racing information, today announced the creation and launch of a centralized “horsemen’s information area” on the recently redesigned equibase.com. By visiting the site, horsemen can now access condition books, overnights and other related horsemen’s information for more than two dozen tracks nationwide.

The service was developed in conjunction with InCompass, the racing office and horsemen’s bookkeeper vendor to racetracks that represent more than 80% of the live racing days and 90% of the total handle in North America.

As of October 11, the 27 tracks participating in the horsemen’s area include Aqueduct, Arlington Park, Bay Meadows Fair, Belmont Park, Beulah Park, Blue Ribbon Downs, Calder Race Course, Churchill Downs, Colonial Downs, Evangeline Downs, Fair Meadows, Ferndale, Fresno, Hawthorne, Keeneland, Kentucky Downs, Louisiana Downs, Philadelphia Park, Pleasanton, River Downs, Sacramento, Santa Rosa, Saratoga, Solano, Stockton, Suffolk Downs and Turfway Park. More tracks are expected to participate in the near future.

According to Philadelphia Park Director of Racing Sal Sinatra, the new service is a convenience for horsemen and will save them time in the management of their stables.

“Instead of navigating through multiple track websites, horsemen can find most, if not all, of the information they’re looking for just by going to equibase.com,” he said. “As more tracks sign up to participate, the service will be a virtual one-stop shop for horsemen regardless of whether they compete at a single track or at multiple tracks on a regional or national basis.”

Among the track-specific information available through the horsemen’s area on equibase.com are condition books, overnights with extras, stakes books, stakes nominations and handicap weight sheets.

“This collaborative effort leverages both InCompass’ leadership in the racing office solutions market and the power of equibase.com as a widely used and comprehensive source of pre- and post-race information to directly benefit horsemen with timely and convenient information,” said InCompass President David Haydon.
