equineline.com Unveils New Trainer Program

The Jockey Club Information Systems, Inc. (TJCIS) has expanded its state-of-the-art equineline.com Internet service to include a Trainer Program which will help trainers of Thoroughbreds and American Quarter Horses fundamentally change the way they manage their operations.

According to Gary Falter, director of product development for TJCIS, the Trainer Program contains progressive and innovative features to help trainers, along with their assistants and/or bookkeepers, streamline and in many cases automate the business-related details associated with training horses, including billing, accounts receivable, charting and owner communication.

“The introduction of a program for trainers is an important step in developing equineline.com into a comprehensive information network for owners, breeders, trainers and farms,” said Falter.

“Much like the equineline.com Portfolio Service for owners and breeders, the new Trainer Program is designed to simplify stable management by maintaining all of a horse’s daily records in one convenient, secure and permanent location. Based on the information entered for each horse, the program will automatically calculate and produce a variety of reports at the trainer’s request, including billing statements and percent-of-earnings reports which previously involved time and manual calculations.”

The Trainer Program was developed with input from trainers nationwide and is accessible through the Trainer Program icon on the equineline.com menu bar. For a monthly subscription fee, trainers can create a portfolio of the horses under their care and have the ability, among other things, to:

  • Input daily training chart information and have that activity automatically sent to the owner’s computer e-mail and/or handheld wireless device on a daily basis
  • Compute day rates for invoicing owners
  • Maintain a record of health, farrier and other treatments for billing
  • Generate a monthly report of race earnings by horse and calculate the trainer’s percentage of those earnings
  • Generate complete billing statements at the click of the mouse
  • Access the Interactive Condition Book to search for specific race conditions at any number of Thoroughbred tracks throughout the country
  • Since the program is Internet based, trainers and their assistants or bookkeepers can update information and view the progress of the entire stable from multiple locations.

Following a one-month free trial period, the monthly subscription fee for the Trainer Program is $29.95 per month for up to 20 horses, and $10 per month for 10 additional horses.

In addition to the Trainer Program and the Portfolio Service for owners and breeders, equineline.com also provides access to the equineline Reports service where visitors can access a wide assortment of breeding, racing and sales information for both Thoroughbreds and American Quarter Horses.
