QR Codes Add Dynamic Element
to Equibase Past Performance Programs

Official Equibase® Past Performance Programs now include a Quick Response (QR) code for each race that provides instant access to pre- and post-race information on smartphones, it was announced today by Equibase Company President and COO Hank Zeitlin.

The QR codes may now appear in hardcopy programs sold at most tracks and simulcast outlets throughout North America as well as in all electronic programs sold on equibase.com. Scanning the QR code on a printed program page using a QR code reader will display the program changes and scratches when scanned before the race and the results with payoffs, results charts and a link to the replay when scanned after the race.

“Injecting this dynamic technology takes a print product and turns it into an interactive, engaging fan experience,” said Zeitlin. “It immediately becomes a ‘go-to’ source throughout a fan’s day at the races.”

To view the QR codes within Official Equibase Past Performance Programs, Equibase recommends the following free reader applications to download: I-nigma for iPhone users and Google Goggles for those with an Android device.
