The Jockey Club Jack Goodman Scholarship was created in 2007 and is awarded annually to a student or students at the University of Arizonaís Race Track Industry Program (RTIP). The $6,000 ($3,000 per semester) annual scholarship is based on academic achievement, proposed career path in the Thoroughbred racing industry, and previous industry involvement. Goodman was a longtime member of The Jockey Club and is one of three founders of the RTIP.

The Jockey Club Scholarship will be awarded annually in the amount of $15,000 ($7,500 per semester) to one recipient. Continuing academic excellence each semester is a condition to receive the full scholarship award. The Jockey Club encourages any current or prospective student with an interest in pursuing a career in the equine industry to apply. Candidates must be pursuing a minimum of a bachelorís degree with an emphasis in the equine or applicable field of study that could be applied in the equine industry with preference given to candidates expressing a strong interest in a career in the Thoroughbred industry. Scholarships are for one academic school year and recipients must reapply every year. For spring semester renewal, students must maintain a 3.00 cumulative grade point and full-time status.

The Welfare and Safety of the Racehorse Summit, in partnership with the North American Racing Academy, provides a free online educational program available to all jurisdictions, all licensees, and anyone interested. Course content tracks participants and completion, enabling jurisdictions to be notified when licensees successfully complete a continuing education course. All courses take approximately one (1) hour to complete and are eligible for trainer continuing education credits.
